International marriage introduces real complexity — distance, documents, families and money. Here is how we try to keep Vowora a place where that complexity is handled honestly.
Adults only
Vowora is strictly for people aged 18 and over. We ask for a date of birth during onboarding and decline any profile below that age. Accounts found to misrepresent age are removed.
Private by default
Your answers are never published, indexed or sold. They are stored privately and used only to identify compatible members. Nothing you write appears on a public page.
Honesty about circumstances
We ask directly about previous marriages, existing children, relocation ability and deal-breakers because misrepresenting these things wastes years of someone's life. Members who are found to have misled others about material circumstances are removed.
Guidance for meeting internationally
Keep early conversations on the platform. Video call before travelling. Never send money, gift cards or documents to someone you have not met in person, however compelling the story. Tell someone you trust where you're going and when you expect to return.
Be cautious with anyone who avoids video, rushes commitment, asks for financial help, or pushes you off the platform quickly. These are the most common warning signs in cross-border romance fraud.
Reporting
If someone makes you uncomfortable or you suspect fraud, contact us through the Contact page. We review every report and will remove members who breach our standards. In an emergency, contact your local authorities first.
